CIFAL

CIFAL has worked with Soviet Union, and then Russia, since the beginning of the 1950s. It has there a solid industrial track record with numerous successful projects.
In 1970 CIFAL became one of the very first French companies to be accredited in the USSR. From its beginnings in the field of industrial engineering, the company branched into the delivery of business services (consulting, commercial support…) as well as technical and industrial services.
Today the various specialized entities of CIFAL in Moscow (Representative office, CE&P, MPH-CIFAL RUS and CIFAL DECO…) employ more than 40 staff and exclusive consultants.

NUCLEAR
The nuclear industry has been the core business of CIFAL’s operations in Russia for almost 40 years.
Fuel cycle: CIFAL provides commercial support, monitors the implementation of contracts and offers consulting services and economic intelligence, primarily for AREVA and its subsidiaries.
Nuclear power plants: in partnership with the Russian firm Capitel Energo (EPC, integrator), CIFAL provides commercial support for the sale of turnkey European equipment for Russian-designed nuclear power plants built in Russia and abroad.

Nuclear :
Almost 40 years of experience working together with AREVA, formerly COGEMA,
First uranium enrichment contract signed in 1974 between CEA (later COGEMA) and Russia’s Techsnabexport. Contract follow-up since then by CIFAL,
Negotiation and conclusion of a long term contract for the purchase of natural uranium extracted from decommissioned Russian nuclear weapons (as part of the Russian-American HEU-LEU agreement), alongside COGEMA (AREVA Group), CAMECO and NUKEM. Supervision of the execution of the contract in Moscow on behalf of the three companies,
Negotiation and supervision of French equipment delivery contracts for the Russian fuel cycle industry (Factory W in Zelenogorsk, UF6 transfer facilities),
Sale of equipment for cooling towers (Leningradskaya NPP-2).
