CIFAL Kazakhstan: a 17-year presence in Kazakhstan

CIFAL GROUPE
In 1991, CIFAL was one of the first European companies to open a representative office in Almaty. It opened a Desk in Astana in 2004. Throughout the years, CIFAL worked on building industrial and commercial partnerships with local firms, showing that commercial success can go hand in hand with promoting "local content".
TOO CIFAL KAZAKHSTAN
To support its operations CIFAL set up in 2004 a local subsidiary, TOO CIFAL Kazakhstan. This local entity is active in Industrial Services and primarily in Trading & Distribution and GOST Certification.
In 2006, TOO CIFAL KAZAKHSTAN undertook two major development phases:
 creation of a fully owned subsidiary TOO CIFAL CERTIFICATION, specialized in Instrumentation Control, Maintenance and Repair. Its fully GOST licensed and accredited Metrology Laboratory was opened in Almaty then Aksai in 2007
signature of a General Agreement with its shareholders for taking over a 50% participation in a Kazakhstani electrical maintenance Company: CAIH Power
Several other activities were launched in 2006, including a Translation Services Department.
TOO CIFAL Kazakhstan is planning to extend its activities in Atyrau region and already purchased a 15 000 m˛ terrain to set up its future operational base in the area.
CEP (CIFAL ELAN PETROLEUM)
CIFAL is also present in Kazakhstan through its subsidiary CEP in the sphere of technical and economical consultancy services to the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry. One major achievement in the recent years is the CEP in-house consultancy teams working for KAZMUNAIGAS in Astana. |

CIFAL: Industrial Services in Kazakhstan
To accompany the various Clients which CIFAL is representing or partnering with in Kazakhstan, TOO CIFAL Kazakhstan and its subsidiaries have a primary function of coordinating the local content of all industrial projects awarded to such clients and partners.
To this end we have developed a large spectrum of Industrial Services aimed at fulfilling the various local needs which may come up from such projects as follows:
GOST CERTIFICATION
CIFAL KZT has a unique experience on Large Certification Project as its consortium is the only contractor able to deliver the full range of Certifications required in KZT, from Customs required to Site Exploitation required certifications.

METROLOGY
Presently the company can offer, maintenance and calibration of measuring instruments in the following fields, at customers own sites or at our test lab.

Gas detection
In many instances equipment can be serviced, calibrated and labelled on site, thus reducing system downtime which is generally associated with sending equipment to an outside test lab. Our test labs are currently set up in Almaty and Aksai, with a view to open a 3rd test lab in Atyrau shortly.
ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE
Mechanical and Electrical field operation and maintenance via CAIH Power, a Kazakstani company.
Presently working on three KPO projects in AKSAI: maintenance of Power Generation (as main contractor), maintenance of Gas Compressors (as subcontractor to GE Nuovo Pignone), and General Electrical maintenance (as main contractor).
TRADING & DISTRIBUTION
Following ever increasing demands from our existing Clients, CIFAL is more and more active in the trading and distribution fields in Kazakhstan:
Distribution: we are distributors and/or authorized dealers of various Western companies (AOS, GE Oil & Gas, Ultraflux, Valvitalia…).
Trading: for supporting our trading operations in Kazakhstan and the CIS region, we are now using our trading platform in the Dubai Jebel Ali Free Zone (CIFAL FZCO). We are capable of sourcing equipment all over the world for selling it locally in Kazakhstan.
Spare-parts: thanks to a reliable network we can supply second handed heavy machinery equipments and genuine spare parts (Caterpillar, Cummins, Mercedes, Komatsu).
TRANSLATION
Doing business in Kazakhstan or other CIS countries involves the translation of various documentations in Russian. These may include technical descriptions, operating and user’s manuals, marketing brochures and flyers, commercial proposals…
Our company works with a network of professional translators having many years of experience. We are able to translate all types of documents in various formats and on various subjects incl. technical, legal, financial….
